Professor

Andrea Crespi

  • Fisica (Laurea Triennale) codice 051125

Andrea Crespi obtained the Master Degree in Engineering Physics in 2008 from Politecnico di Milano, and the PhD in Physics in 2012 from the same Institution. His research activity is focused on the design and fabrication of waveguide photonic devices, applied in particular to the optical simulation of quantum physical systems and to quantum information. The realization of such devices exploits femtosecond laser micromachining, an innovative technology that enables rapid prototyping of novel devices and yields unique three-dimensional capabilities in the waveguide circuit design. From 2012 to 2015 he worked as a research fellow at IFN-CNR in the group of Dr. Roberto Osellame, one of the world-leading groups in the development of this technology. Since 2016 he is continuing his research activity in this field, as a Researcher at the Physics Department of Politecnico di Milano, maintaining a close collaboration with Dr. Osellame’s group at IFN-CNR. Andrea Crespi is author or co-author of more than 45 publications on international peer-reviewed journals (Scopus); he is co-inventor of 2 pending patents.
