Giacomo Langfelder

Giacomo Langfelder was born in La Spezia in 1981.

He received the M.S. in Electronics Engineering (2005) and the Ph.D. in 
Information Technology (2009) at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He is an 
Associate Professor and has been lecturer of Optoelectronic Systems 
(2011-2015) and of MEMS and Microsensors (2016 to now).

His research interests include MEMS transducers (inertial, magnetic, 
ultrasonic, micromirrors, resonators…) and related electronics and 
systems. He is the author of 120+ publications (Scopus) and has applied for 10+ 
patents. In 2014, he was a co-founder of ITmems s.r.l.

Dr. Langfelder has been a member of the TPC of various IEEE conferences 
since 2016. He was a recipient of the Accenture prize in 2005 and the 
Rotary International prize in 2011.
