  • Advanced Optics and Lasers (Laurea Magistrale) codice 097589

M.S. in Electronic Engineering (2003) and Ph.D. in Physics (2009) at Politecnico di Milano with studies on organic semiconductors and nano-materials for optoelectronics applications, since 2011 he joins the Physics Department of Politecnico di Milano as permanent staff researcher.

Also affiliate researcher of the Photonics and Nanotechnologies Institute (IFN) of the Italian National Council of Research (CNR), his research activity is focused on the development of near- andmid- infrared ultrafast fibre laser-systems for molecular spectroscopy/spectrometryand for ultrafast (pump-probe) spectroscopy. In 2008 he was among the pioneers of the high-power Optical Frequency Comb technology for ultra-high resolution molecular spectroscopy in the Mid-Infrared spectral window and of the femtosecond Coherent Anti-stokes Raman Scattering technique for vibrational microscopy. He is co-author of more than 85 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and has an H-index of 17 (www.scopus.com).

He is co-applicant (WO/2006/077476 – patentscope.wipo.int) of an international patent regarding a non-linear organic photodiode for laser-pulse autocorrelation applications. Since 2005 he has been assistant and lecturer of several teachings delivered by the Physics Department of Politecnico di Milano (General Physics, Electromagnetism and Optics, Advanced Optics and Lasers).
